Being Aware Of Our Negative Thoughts For 2017
We often resist negative comments from others, yet, we accept our own inner negative thoughts.
Negative thoughts is something most of us detest in others and we dislike being in the company of such people. Yet many of us tolerate the ongoing noise that can begin within our own minds. Since we are so used to the steady stream of mind boggling, self-limiting nonsense that finds its way through our thoughts, we are often unaware of the impact these deliberations have on our lives. It is only when we become aware of the power of our thoughts that we can strip ourselves of them and fill the confusion they leave with intentional, peaceful affirmations. When closer attention is paid to our thinking patterns, many people are surprised at the level of negativity they find. Not judging our predicament is a peaceful way to acknowledge and reverse the process to initiate healing. Continued practice can help us replace intimidating and upsetting self-talk with uplifting, empowering thoughts. And in 2017 we should resist it all.
The best way to analyze this is to compare how you feel immediately after the occasional internal assault versus the ongoing negativity that impacts your mood and future. My previous post spoke about being aware of the tone of color in our lives. It is the same with our thoughts. The challenge is to be constantly conscious of your feelings, opinions, and judgments in a single day. From dawn to dusk, examine the messages you are feeding into your subconscious mind. Consider your thoughts from the perspective of a casual observer and resist judgment that comes to mind. Just watch the flow of your thoughts and make a note of the number of times you find yourself focusing on negative situations.
As you become perfect at this practice, you will eventually learn to control the character of your consciousness flow. Try to always remember that the images and ideas created in your mind are not a true representation of who you are. In training yourself to be cognizant of your thoughts, you gain the ability to have direct control over your mood. This awareness you cultivate within yourself, will, in the end enable you to build an authentic foundation of positivity from which you can exist. The time is now as 2017 is had just begun.
